Sam Yankelevitch's first fiction, 'An Interview with Failure', is an approach to change the reader's perspective on failure. Most people in the world are terrified of this F-word and try all they can to run away from it. The author has tried his best to make us understand through his writing that facing failure is not the end of the world. Rather, one should take feedback from the outcome and look for improvements that can be made.

In the book, there is a personification of failure. Robin invites Failure to his show for an interview. They both engage in a very thought-provoking, positive conversation. Failure has a positive approach and an intriguing perspective for itself. When asked to introduce itself to the listeners, Failure says, It is just a word. The meaning of the word is carried by humans, not by the word itself. By mentioning it, the author makes us feel responsible for the way we feel about any word in this world.

The author's creative plot to hold an interview with Failure engages readers. Sam's personal anecdotes and examples added depth to the interview, making it relatable and engaging for the audience. A smooth writing style with simple language and a lot of examples supporting the interviewer's and interviewee's ideas really helps the reader understand what the author is trying to convey. The book's intuitive content encourages readers to flip page after page. I do not find any typos or errors in the book. The book is short, and you can finish it in two sittings.

Another aspect of Sam's writing style is his emphasis on positive reframing. He often encourages readers to view failure from a growth-oriented perspective, emphasizing the lessons learned rather than dwelling on the negative aspects. This positive and optimistic approach inspires readers to see failure as a stepping stone to success rather than a roadblock.

However, the book is exceptional I feel that some readers or listeners might find that the interview's emphasis on embracing failure as a positive experience could be overly optimistic or idealistic in certain situations. While it's essential to view failure as a chance to learn and improve, there are instances where failure can have significant negative consequences, and it's crucial to address the emotional toll it can take on individuals.

I will give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed reading it. It leaves the audience with a renewed perspective on failure, inspiring them to approach challenges with a growth-oriented mindset. Without a doubt, this interview will leave a lasting impact on anyone who reads it. I highly recommend this book to every person who wants an optimistic approach to life.

Thank you.
