One thing I've discovered in life is that we don't live in a one-dimensional scenario. Every one of us is living our own definition of each chapter of every story that life has to give. There is no right or incorrect answer in a given situation. The book 'An Interview with Failure' is an excellent technique to demonstrate that humans are complex beings. It is a terrific read for broadening your understanding of what outlook to have on life, as well as teaching us new meanings to words we thought we knew.
The interviewer learns a lot about the significance of specific terms in the book, and how we should not interpret these words through the lens of simplicity. Many people dread him, as Failure indicated in the interview. How can we be afraid of something we don't fully comprehend? Everyone interprets the word 'failure' in such a way that it negates its own purpose. Many words were mentioned in the conversation that have a distinct effect on us and how we chose to live according to that specific term.
I like reading this book because I enjoy reading anything that makes me think. A piece that allows you to tell your own tale and control how you think and feel. It is, however, a very brief read that is packed with meaning. Who'd have guessed that a single phrase could have such an impact on oneself? I recommend this book to anyone who feels as if life has no significance right now. It may not deal with immediate world difficulties, but it undoubtedly has a significant impact on how you interpret life and how you choose to go.
I rate this book a 3/5. The format of the interview is not entirely my style, but it was a great read.
